Clinical Staff
The staff at the Marblehead Counseling Center is comprised of highly qualified, compassionate and skillful clinicians. Our licensed therapists employ a range of techniques designed to improve relationships, communication, and self-confidence. Our goal is to promote positive behavioral changes in order to improve the mental health of our clients. Every therapist provides a non-judgemental, safe space conducive to self- growth. We serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and the elderly.
Our licensed therapists hold Master's degrees and advanced graduate degrees either in clinical social work or psychological counseling and average over 18 years of experience. Specialty areas include anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, men's and women's issues, recovery, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), abuse, divorce/separation, parenting, marital therapy, Attention Deficit Disorder and elderly issues.
• Paul Crosby,
LICSW, (Executive Director), is a compassionate and highly educated clinician with more than 20 years of experience in a variety of human service fields, and has extensive field work with substance abuse, hospice, and elderly issues. He has a long history of community involvement including sponsoring and teaching education programs and working with community groups to introduce and spearhead community improvement programs.
• Stephanie Brant, LICSW, has been helping children and families for almost 20 years. She specializes in child and family therapy, with the focus on the well-being of the child.
• Elizabeth Cochran, LICSW, uses a narrative therapy approach in her work with adults who struggle with a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, trauma and loss. She is available to meet with elders in their homes as well as our office.
• Linda Croke-DiPietro, LICSW, uses insight-oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and other modalities, dependent upon the individual's needs. She works with adolescents, adults and couples who have a wide range of diagnoses.
• Heather Fine,
LMHC, incorporates therapeutic
games as well as art and play therapy in her work with children.
She also works with teens, young adults and families on a variety
of issues.
• Jeannette
Kowalski, LMHC, along with a focus
on marriage and family therapy, specializes in women’s issues,
works with children and families of alcoholics, and treats trauma
survivors.
• Marie
Ouellette, LICSW, (Clinical Director), has worked with a wide range of diagnoses in both children and adults including bipolar, depression, anxiety, phobias, loss and trauma. She also develops, coordinates and teaches programs geared towards children of divorce.
• Bob Purdy, LMHC, has worked as a therapist and bereavement counselor in a variety of settings. His experience includes management of a bereavement program and hospice staff, pastoral, grief and general counseling. He has worked with a variety of diagnoses in both children and adults including depression, anxiety, phobias, loss and trauma. Bob is a veteran and has provided end-of-life care to the VA, veterans and their families.
Board of Directors
The Marblehead Counseling Center is grateful to the members of the Board of Directors. Our Board is comprised of leaders from the public sector, private sector and other non-profits. The mission of the Board is to oversee the activities, finances and fundraising efforts of the Counseling Center. Board Members are unpaid and are generally appointed for three year terms.
