Single Parent Support Group

Being a single parent is a tough job. Much of the time it means caring for children, making difficult decisions and running a household by oneself. This confidential group will connect single parents into a network of mutual support to help each other with the tasks of parenting and living. Offered in conjunction with the YMCA of Marblehead & Swampscott.

Specifically the group will:

• Provide a confidential place to receive and give emotional support
• Help relieve the stresses of everyday life
• Discuss strategies for cooperative co-parenting
• Inform parents on community resources available.
• Share experience and advice for dating and new relationships

Dates for Single Parent Support Group
The group is offered for a renewable, eight-week cycle.

Costs

Price per group session is $40 or whatever your insurance copay is. If covered, we will bill your sessions to your health insurance carrier. Co-payments are due at each session. Bring your insurance card to the first session. A sliding-scale fee is available for income-eligible participants.
